Railroad Trestle
The hike from Mortero Palms to Goat Canyon features scenic vistas and a view of a historic railroad trestle. An alternate route features a 'jungle' of palm trees in the Mortero Palms wash.
A word of warning - Dos Cabezos spring is the Grand Central Station for illegal immigrants. Hundreds of mexicans seeking refuge in the United States come over the mountains to the south every night, using the spring as a water source. Camp with caution!
